About

Bryan and his wife love to travel. When they welcomed their two children into the world, they wanted to share the joys of travel with them. Weekend getaways and full on trips were frequent with their young children. Their son was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder just after his second birthday. They did not want that to stop him from having opportunities to see the world or miss out on experiences.

Bryan quickly started researching tools and resources to help make travel more accessible and accommodating for his son. He found basic tips and tricks for everything from flying to sleeping in unfamiliar places. Along the way, he discovered a treasure trove of museums, parks, resorts, cruise lines, zoos, aquariums and other attractions that provide resources to help make travel more accessible. Eager to try these things out, his family took a series of trips and weekend getaways over a couple of years to see what these places have to offer. What they found was amazing. Many places offer accommodations for those in need. However, many places do not advertise these accommodations or make information on them easy to find.

This is when Bryan decided to find ways to share his love of travel, planning, and researching destinations with others. He became an independent travel agent of Boardwalk Travel Agency and started Autism Travel of Iowa, LLC. He also became a Certified Autism Travel Professional through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). These steps have helped him gain valuable insight into not only planning his own travel, but that for others as well.

While Bryan has significant knowledge in helping to plan accessible vacations, he has also helped plan many traditional family vacations as well. Please do not hesitate to reach out to see how I can help you plan unforgettable vacations with your family!
